Chasing the Dream With Grit and Grace
Some people are born into legacies, but not everyone carries them forward with heart, humility, and the drive to make a difference. Jette, the owner of Jetgen Metal-Worx, has been surrounded by family business values since birth. His grandmother started her company at age 25 in Helena, Montana, and it continues to thrive today. That legacy is in Jette's blood, and so is the understanding that business is about people, integrity, and grit.
From a young age, Jette was immersed in the rhythm of hard work and honest business. As a child, he spent his days in the office with his grandmother, watching her run a company with grace and fairness. By age four, he was assembling garbage cans. At nine, he was operating heavy machinery. And by eleven, his father sent him to learn welding and metal work from a local farmer. Though it scared him, those early lessons would become the foundation for a life of craftsmanship.
"We never cut corners even if we lose out on making good profit. We do the right thing no matter what."
Building and Rebuilding
At fourteen, Jette took on his first ironworking project. By eighteen, he had launched his first company in Montana. But after the loss of his father, he felt something was missing. He craved guidance, mentorship, and a stronger foundation. He sold that first business and moved to Washington to find growth—not just in business, but in life. There, everything changed. He met his future wife, a woman full of encouragement, wisdom, and strength.
They always planned to start their own business, but life had its detours. While working in a shipyard, Jette suffered an accident that left him unable to walk for seven months. When he recovered, his first words to his wife were, "Let’s get started now." And just like that, Jetgen Metal-Worx was born—with faith, love, and a clear vision.
Rooted in Values and Community
Jetgen Metal-Worx is more than just a metal fabrication and repair company. It is a family-built, values-driven, community-connected business that never forgets its roots. Jette and his wife go out of their way to support local suppliers and businesses. They take pride in being the kind of neighbors who listen, help, and share in others’ successes. Whether it's a custom project or offering advice to someone looking to start their own business, their door is always open.

Chasing the Dream With Grit and Grace
Jette leaves us with words that capture what Jetgen Metal-Worx is all about. He reminds us that criticism will come, but we should not let it stop us. Change is never overnight, and we must keep going, just like growing vegetables in a garden. It takes time, patience, and care. Most importantly, he urges us to dream big. So big that the dream includes more people than just ourselves. So big that it even scares us to pursue it.
Jetgen Metal-Worx is not just a company—it is a story of resilience, passion, and the power of a dream built on a legacy of love, faith, and service.
